Services For College Papers

I offer editing services for college papers including simple essays and theses.  Please note, I proofread and edit papers.  I do not write them or re-write them, and I will not work with plagiarized materials.

Editing for essays includes general proofreading and suggestions for flow and clarity.  For theses, I will also review formatting of citations and bibliographies.

Editing Service Details

Bronze

Bronze Editing Service is a basic proofreading service.  This service includes up to two passes and will review:

  • Correct Spelling
  • Common Mistakes
  • Punctuation (including correct use of quotation marks)
  • Grammar (including subject-verb agreement)

 

Turnaround time for the service will depend on current active client projects and length of material to be edited.  Project length is determined by the number of words, and the duration and delivery deadline will be agreed upon prior to starting.  Please be aware that the service for an epic novel over 150,000 words will take longer than a short story of 10,000 words.

Silver

Silver service is a copy/line editing service. This includes up to three passes and will review:

  • Bronze service items (i.e. proofreading)
  • Syntax (word/sentence structure)
  • Basic content suggestions (example: overly descriptive, or repetitive use of words or phrases, etc.)

Turnaround time for the service will depend on current active client projects and length of material to be edited.  Project length is determined by the number of words, and the duration and delivery deadline will be agreed upon prior to starting.  Please be aware that the service for an epic novel over 150,000 words will take longer than a short story of 10,000 words.

Editing Service Details

Gold

Gold Editing Service is a full service process. The specific details of the project will be determined by several factors, and will utilize an interactive process with multiple passes and interactive change review sessions.  In addition to the services included with Bronze and Silver, Gold service will include:

  • Plot consistency; structure and flow analysis
  • Checks for consistency errors, anachronisms, and contextual issues
  • General editing advice (“show, don’t tell”, over-reliance on adverbs, etc.)

 

Turnaround time for Gold Service editing will rely heavily on the length of the material, and starting quality. I will ask to review one or two chapters of your work to determine final effort cost and timeline.
